Games Loop Fr/dj & Xc features 11 miles of hiking trails near Pensacola, FL.
The Games Loop trail system is on the North side of the UWF trails across Pate Rd. Go under the gate & a short trip down the fire road you'll notice to signs. On your left is the more technical FR/DJ trail systems & to the right is XC loop. Around 8 miles of XC w/ slight technical areas but nothing to hard to navigate. FR areas (about 3 miles worth of trails through jungle like terrain built by the Pensacola Dirt Devil freeride crew) consist of The Spooky Trail, a quick little downhill ladder roll in leading to berms, low ladders & skinnys bridging terrain gaps & logs. The Hip (Which is where the PDD freeriders normally hang on Sundays. They keep an eye on the Games side & are a fun bunch to watch ride or get trail info from.), has a 12' roll in to 6' - 7' high platform dirt jump & a hip launch on to Twister. Section 8 has some rollers, launches, berms, twists & turns. Area 51 which contains a few berms, banks & shelf like drop leading to a ladder tabletop jump. Descender has a roll in or a 5' drop to transition, berms, gap jump to berm & other drop points. Skunk Ape is a little on the XC vibe but fun w/ little roll ins & log obstacles exiting at the A51 tabletop area. The Playground has a number of huge drops including The Death Nail, a 25' crusty roll in, The Pungi Pit drop, a 12' drop to transition over a gap, Big John, 15' drop to transition & roll ins, as well as a double jump roller section and other interesting terrain features the FR gang seems to utilize effectively. Twister (the most technical section of the XC loop), has a huge, clay transition to wall ride, a short but fun little technical downhill berm entrance, lots of high, fun roll ins, low ladders & log jumps.
